The Birth

Suddenly and softly, 

seeks the world around. 

Breaks the withheld silence, 

kills it with a sound. 

First breath, shakes death. 

Opens up a life. 

Warmth, rest, 

struggles, breast.. 

comfort, warmth, delight!

To see the world, in another light. 

Without prejudging, without insight. 

To take afresh and not dismiss, okay?

 

To drop our fears and stand up tall.

Dismiss all labels, drop the small.  

To recognise our love, for once and all.

An angel cried..

cold and white. 

The sky turned..

black alright. 

The stars dimmed 

and failed to light.
Tonight.

The sun froze..

and didn't climb. 

The clock stopped..

and all lost time.

My heart pounded..

My breath stopped.
