About this blog...

On this blog you will find the rambling thoughts and images a boy like me finds on the web. It is responses to my dilemma and experience. It's not rude or crude or stereotypical. Just me, just trying to be free, just learning to be myself...

Image

Image not my dog but similar
What is life, when death lives on?
Our daily drudge, goes on and on.
We take for granted each day we see.
I took for granted you and me.
And now you've gone, my heart has burst.
To think of you, it only hurts.
I can't believe, that full of life.
It ended so soon, with so much strife.
If I had been there, at the end.
Your broken life, I could have mend.
I blame myself, you've gone away.
I hate my life. I hate that day.
But I'll think of you, with only love.
Until we join, in lands above.
So run and play, my boyhood friend.
We'll be together, in the end.

The End of the World

There are those who try to bring you down,
safe beside, as they sit on the ground.
They hate to see you float carefree,
the love you share they destroy with glee.
As you rise above and seem so light,
it gives their souls an enormous fright,
for what if you, not they, are right,
their world of hate
would end this night.

Found

I flew above the ocean's roar,
saw pale gray skies and snow capped peaks.
The sun it peaked upon the day,
golden shafts of light it leaked.
It drew me south to where I knew,
new love awaited, a love I knew...

We drove through velvet rolling hills,
pastures fresh and skies so blue.
We came across a the hidden trove,
the place of birth and life renewed.
And there we spied in colour of sand,
standing proud, our wee man.

His eyes lit up will wild excite,
he strutted forth to show his might.
His proud wee chest was golden striped,
as we gazed forth, our tears we wiped.

His eyes of olive green won through,
his baby breath and silken coat,
and never once did we doubt or care,
he was reborn, the Kodiak Bear.

Reborn

When all is lost, no hope is left.
My heart is split, my soul bereft.
I seize upon a sudden thought,
the dog I loved, has been reborn.
He waits for me ... and I must find,
the one I love and not be blind.
I feel him near, he cries to me.
'I'm over here, can't you see?'
I search around but can not find,
I feel as if...I lose my mind.
But suddenly, he reappears,
that face, that soul
I love so dear.

Golden One

Forgive me for my time away,
as mine own heart does tend to break.
I need this time to mend my heart
and rid myself of weary ache.

You know that I am never blue,
I just need time to heal my soul.
Remember times of joyful past,
and remember days of old.

For part of me was torn away,
the sun that shined upon my day.
And now my thoughts do sullen pray,
my baby rests at last.

And if you hear my prayers, my boy,
remember me with thoughts of joy.
And know that one day we will join,
and awaken from the dark.

Our time together has come and gone,
but know from me it won't be long,
until the day we are as one,
to shine again, my golden sun.

At last

He drew a gentle lasting breath,
my golden boy, I held his head.
A last long look, a stolen kiss,
my golden boy, I now miss.
His time had come,
he couldn't mend,
one last moment,
it was the end.
I only know we did our best,
but now our boy
just needs to rest.

The Long Road Home

I see my boy, my love, my joy,
my faith and hope restored.
He sits right up, just like a pup,
his smiles are our reward.

His heart does glow, his coat does show,
the shine that's back in him.
He looks about, he wants to shout,
'I'm back, I had to win'.

We stand him up and he does strut
about in pants of blue.
Our tears do roll as he does stroll
and see the boy we knew.

My boy

He lifts his head from earthen sleep, lifts his eyes, so wide so deep;
He sniffs the air to catch the scent, his eagerness is heaven sent.
A seasoned stretch to rid the night, a silent nod in quiet respite,
A sullen glint begins to show, in his own eyes he sees you tho.

And as he rises from the ground, a breaking sound of song does sound,
the rapture of a swift pine breeze, the dancing of the green fir trees.
He slowly starts to walk your way, you hold your breath as he does gain,
He comes to you as two to one, your life anew had just begun.

You share your love as ne’er before, he takes your hand, you take his paw.
A bond between that’s made to last, unspoken words of love.
